Public Enemies
Michael Mann does it again. His unique directing and camera techniques shine through out the entire film and hit the roof during the action filled shooting scenes. He is incredibly technical when it comes to shooting scenes. You really feel you are right in the middle of it. I still love the final shooting scene he did in Miami Vice. The only thing I would have liked to see more of is John Dillinger’s past and how he got to where the movie started. The movie throws you right in and you don’t really get a tight connection with John. Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard, and Christian Bale (again…blah?!) opens in theaters July 1st 2009.
The Taking Of Palham 123
“The Taking of Pelham 123″ starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta was unfortunately only an average film due to the lack in directing by Tony Scott. As expected the strong cast came through keeping this movie from bombing. I give this movie a 3 out of 5. Try watching the original made in 1974.
The Hangover
The Hangover was hysterical. A guaranteed good laugh out loud movie. This will be the must see comedy of the summer! Five Stars!
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis star in the film and keep you laughing all the way through it. ‘The Hangouver’ is scheduled to hit the theaters June 5th, 2009.

Terminator Salvation
The only thing going for Terminator Salvation is the special effects, unfortunately that isn’t enough to make up for the rest of what goes into making a good film. I was frustrated with how sloppy and poorly directed this film was. I never felt a good connection with Christian Bale’s character John Connor nor anyone else in this film. If you are looking for a hit this summer this isn’t the movie. I recommend Star Trek if you haven’t seen it. Oh and why is Common in this movie, lol. He played a believable role in Street Kings (highly recommend seeing) but the guy should stick to what he’s best at.
Star Trek 2009
Whether your a treky or not this star trek film is for everyone. I definitely don’t consider myself a die hard nor do I know much about the original Star Trek series but, I heard a lot of good things about this film and after seeing it I must say job well done, 5 stars. I’m sure the die hard fans will agree too. I actually had the pleasure to go with a die hard fan, my father. I would consider him a treky. He actually has the 3D chess set from the tv series. He really enjoyed it as well and said they were right on with the original characters personalities. Check it out!! Star Trek is scheduled to open 05.07.09
Transsiberian
Transsiberian could very well be the movie of the year for me. I was really suprised by this movie. It starts off slow giving you time to get comfortable with the characters but before you know it you are in for a ride. This movie will slide you to the edge of your seat and doesn’t stop till the very end. I was more awake after the movie finished (at 4am) than I was when the movie started. I recommend this movie to all. It’s a must see! I’d love to hear what you think of this one.

The Darjeeling Limited
I absolutely love this movie. I think I’ve watched it now maybe 3-4 times now. For some reason the more I watch it the more it grows on me. If you haven’t seen this movie I recommend it to everyone. If you enjoyed any other of Wes Anderson’s films such as The Life Aquatic or The Royal Tenenbaums you will dig this film. I personally think it is his best.
